About me

Radio host, published author, and award winning artist who enjoys connecting with the community and giving people the news of the day.

Working in media is my passion and it is something that I have always wanted to do. I have several years of varied experience at seven different radio stations. I love all music genres. People tell me I have a terrific voice, a creative mind, and an interesting sense of humour. I am always open to learning new things and meeting new people.

I am a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism Summer Institute at Seneca College in Toronto, post graduate certificate program. I had the opportunity to get hands-on journalism experience, working in radio, television, and digital media. I am also armed with a Loyalist College Radio Broadcasting Diploma (Dean’s List).

Getting on-air experience from stations like CKLB 101.9 in Yellowknife, 100.7 the island In Little Current, Ontario, CJWA JJAM FM in Wawa, Ontario, MOOSE FM 99.3 in Espanola, and 91X in Belleville, have given me the core skills to hit the ground working for Arctic Radio at CJAR 102.9 in The Pas, Manitoba since 2017.

My interviewing and writing skills are solid. Some of the notable names I’ve interviewed include former Opaskwayak Cree Nation Onekanew Christian Sinclair, Actress Lenore Zann, MP Niki Ashton, the host of Cash Cab, Adam Growe, Olympic Bronze medalist Akeem Haynes, former NHL player Lanny McDonald, and Temple Grandin, to name a few.
